Our most precious asset is the people making MicroPort a success
What makes MicroPort a unique place to work? Well, we think its our unique culture and great working environment that attracts experts from all over the world to join our dynamic and highly energetic team. Today our special talent includes more than 300 scientists and researchers, with 160 holding Masters Degree or PhD's. We think MicroPort already has a strong, first-class team of highly skilled experts and we are determined to build on these strengths to create something quite special.

We also want our company to be a place where employees feel included, safe, and secure. MicroPort people are expected to do their utmost to create a respectful workplace culture that is free of harassment, bias, or discrimination of any kind.

As we strive to ensure our employees are provided every opportunity to make valuable contributions to our future, while achieving their personal aspirations, MicroPort's commitment includes a range of initiatives that help employees to work in a collaborative, flexible and creative environment, where everyone feel's comfortable sharing ideas and opinions.
  • Employee orientation is important at MicroPort. All new employees take part in our Employee Orientation Program, which provides all the knowledge required to introduce them to our culture and business. All employees are also required to complete our Outdoor Development Program which we think builds team spirit and enhances our people's capacity to embrace self- challenge.
  • MicroPort places the highest priority on our organisations ability to develop our talented people and generate enthusiasm in our employees. We think our regular talent reviews and succession planning helps us identify and encourage employees to aspire to greatness.
  • We are passionate about education and learning at MicroPort. We provide our employees with a complete learning environment that positively encourages training and development, because we want our people to realise their aspirations. As part of our training and development programme, MicroPort provides support for learning, whether through on-the-job training, web-based education, self-learning, professional skills learning, management training or to undertake post-doctoral research.
  • Our passion for learning provided the inspiration to create a fantastic company library. Our Materials and Information Research Centre Library has over ten thousand books for our employees to study. And we also have a small Children's Library so our employees families can share our passion for education too.
  • At MicroPort we think reward for achievement is an excellent idea. Our Performance Management System is designed to ensure all employees can maximise their potential, identify development and learning aspirations, and define career planning and development paths. We ensure each of our high potential people have a career path which fits their ambition to MicroPort's future.
  • MicroPort has created several recreational areas around our facilities, including a relaxing Chinese Garden, a large sunny conservatory, and several other social facilities and open areas for our employees to take time out, relax and reflect, and for organising group activities and social meetings.
  • We support and encourage employee lead group activities that represent the various common interests of our employees beyond their normal company role. Providing resources, time and facilities to ensure employees can freely participate.
  • We think our Mentoring policy is a great idea and enables our employees the opportunity to learn from a more experienced colleague.
  • We are committed to equal opportunities through our recruitment of employees that represent all people within society.
  • Our flexible working policy enables our people to maintain a positive work-life balance and address personal and professional needs.
