Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping Visited MicroPort
On 26 September 2010, Xi Jinping, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and Vice President of the PRC paid his third visit to MicroPort and met with the senior management team, accompanied by Han Zheng, Mayor of Shanghai and Vice Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, and Xu Lin, Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Pudong New District Committee.
Dr. Zhaohua Chang, Chairman of MicroPort, updated to Mr. Xi on the company's recent listing on the HKEx Main Board, self-innovation achievements, the company's unique management concept of 'Vertical Integration & Horizontal Connection', and the party construction. The vice president Xi Jinping also visited the exhibition hall and some production workshops, where Mr. Qiyi Luo, CTO of MicroPort gave a brief introduction of the company's current high-tech products as well as the products under development.
