MicroPort Orthopedics Selected as One of the Shanghai 2010 Biomedical Commercialization Projects and Honored a Grant
On 29 September, Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission jointly announced the list of the First Batch of 2010 Biomedical Commercialization Projects. The 'Spinal Implants' project conducted by MicroPort Orthopedics Co., Ltd, was wherein selected, together with other 26 projects.
The Biomedical Commercialization Projects are part of a plan of municipal government to develop the high-tech industry, boosting the biomedical industry in particular. It represents the first major commercialization related government grant at the municipal level for MicroPort Orthopedics, but one of many major government grants received by the headquarter.
